This 2 part module aims to equip Sport and Exercise Physicians, Sports Doctors and Allied Health professionals with the knowledge and understanding of the key elements of sports nutrition theory and practice. The module provides a broad coverage of key areas of sports nutrition including the role of fats, protein, carbohydrate, and hydration in sport and exercise. There is detailed information on micronutrients, body composition, and nutrition for health. This course aims to foster an understanding of the role of nutrition in a multidisciplinary model of sport and exercise medicine and science.
This course requires the purchase of the book "Sports Nutrition” Edition 3, by Asker Jeukendrup, PhD, and Michael Gleeson, PhD.
A certificate will be issued after successful completion of the assessment.
